Number 9 Tortilla Strips Review

 

Welcome to A Sampling Bee! Today, I am sharing with you Number 9's Tortilla Strips. The company got this unique name from their salsa- each one of their salsas contains at least 9 healthy veggies. They developed their tortilla strips to be the best whole grain and veggie chips out there. Their tortilla chips contain a unique blend of veggies and whole grains. When cooking the chips, Number 9 uses High Oleic Sunflower or Safflower oils. They use these oils because they contain antioxidants which help preserve the fresh flavor and nutrient quality of the tortilla strips. The veggies and whole grains in these tortilla strips contain naturally-occurring vitamins, minerals, and fiber that we all need to maintain healthy bodies.

Number 9's Tortilla Strips come in yummy flavors: Ancient Grains, Stoneground Corn and Nine Veggie. Number 9 Tortilla Strips are certified gluten-free, non-GMO and made in the USA!

Ancient Grains

Ingredients: Stoneground organic corn, sunflower and/or safflower oil, ancient grain blend(amaranth, flour, quinoa flour, millet flour, sorghum flour, teff flour) brown rice flour, cane sugar, rice fiber, white sesame seeds, black sesame seeds and sea salt.

Stoneground Corn

Ingredients: Stoneground organic corn, sunflower and or safflower oil, rice fiber and sea salt.

Nine Veggie

Ingredients: Stoneground organic corn, sunflower and/or safflower oil, butternut squash, sweet potato, cane sugar, vegetable blend(garlic powder, dehydrated carrot, dehydrated tomato, beet powder, dehydrated scallions, onion powder, dehydrated potato) sugarcane fiber and sea salt.

My Thoughts

Number 9's Tortilla Strips are so much more crunchier than any other tortilla strip. I love how firm they are. They don't break when dipping into my favorite salsa. I really loved the Ancient Grains Tortilla Strips. For some reason, the added sesame seeds make the strips taste SO good! All-in-all, these are great tasting chips. They are lightly salted, crunchy and full of flavor! I highly recommend serving them at your next BBQ!
